  Matt Papa.
So, one of the last cd layouts that we at the 805 Collective have done, was for none other than the one and only Matt Papa. His layout came along quite nicely, and then we worked on a website design to coexist with the aforementioned cd layout. Here are some screen shots of the web page

and then here is the corresponding cd.

We wish Matt all the best, and we're sure you'll be hearing from him soon. Let us know
what you think about the cd and web design and how it turned out.

We've also been clearing out the former One Truth office upstairs getting ready to move in some new office roommates. We'll blog soon about who these people are, and maybe get some pics of their beautiful faces. Also there is some amazing artwork being done in house, that will be getting hung on our walls making them more delicious then normal. Check back soon.

  Picture this....
Hey everyone. We've been working hard at the 805 Collective fortress, getting projects done. Living on the Central Coast we realize that we live in an area that has an abnormal ratio of amazing photographers to normal people that maybe aren't so good a photography.

So naturally, we've been doing websites for these amazing people.

One of the more recent sites we designed was for Katie DiSimone. Check it out.

Katie was fun to work with, and has some really great photos, so look around her site.

One of the next photographers that we worked with was Ken Kienow. What a sweetheart this guy is.

Right now Ken's office is right down the street from us, so we've been seeing a ton of this guy. I always was a little bit happier after each visit from Ken.

Always a pleasure to be around, his site ended looking almost as cool as he does.

There is so much more that we've been working on, and there are some really sweet sites coming to completion. So check back soon.

  Look Mom, We're on T.V.!!!!
If you don't mind me saying, 805 Collective, just made a pretty sweet site for a really sweet company: Food for the Hungry.

Its really fun to be able to do a site with a company that does such great things for the world.

It just so happened that a few days ago, Lindsay Branham, the communications coordinator for Food for the Hungry, was on CNN talking about the work that she had been doing in the Congo for the past year, and the website got mentioned and shown on CNN.

It ended up being a really great piece. Well done Lindsay, stay safe.

  And the Hits Keep Coming.
OK. Life never stops. Big moments don't wait for you to be ready for them. And the 805 team has had quite a few the past few weeks. Don't worry we've been getting a ton of work done but this post will be about the personal happenings of our lives. First off on the duties list for me is to report that my wife and I had our second child two weeks ago, on August 28. His name is Charlie, and he is sooo super sweet, and having a second child has been amazing. Benjamin, my other son, is extremely excited about being a big brother.

So with Seth's child coming soon, I'm going to get all of the "Seth you don't understand. I have two children" line for a few months....

in other news, Jeremy's company One Truth has finally shut it's doors. He shipped off the last order, to Bill from Canada, last friday. Thats it. The book is written. Jeremy was extremely excited to see this get accomplished. He took this picture and sent it with Bill's order, which i'm sure Bill will be extremely excited about.

During the packing up of all the orders, there were a few Germans hanging out in the wherehouse/office, a bunch of empty boxes, a video camera, a new sport to explore. check it out.

GET INTO IT!!!!

  Big Beige Baby
A lot has happened since the last post, best of all, Jeremy has returned home. I'm sure he's already planning his next great adventure, but it's nice to have him back. Well a site that was just finished when I joined on to the 805 team back in March was the site for Beige Apparel.

My first or second job was working on a small detail on this site.

I had a good time the past two weeks watching the Olympics and seeing all the athletes for the most part get along far better then the countries governments could ever dream to get along. Like how this guy from Kenya won the marathon, and like 10,000 Chinese people roared their approval as he came into the stadium and finished up the 26 mile race. He was in tears as he crossed the line. It was amazing. I was pretty inspired.

Other than that, things are getting back to normal. Seth is still breaking laws daily like this pic:

It took a little over a month, but I finally got the chandelier put together. You have to have an opinion on this, love it or hate it. We love it.

There's been a few other recent additions to the decorations at the 805 office...including a few zebra pieces.

and a painting done by Seth.

So, for now, have a good week. Enjoy the rest of Sunday, and try to break an Olympic Record this week.

  Mmmmm. Coffee.
Ok. So I don't think I'm on track to blog for 805 Collective every day. But I promise it's not because I'm not keeping busy. Jeremy is still down south (really really south) and Seth is holding down the fort here. I'm gonna tell you about a site that the guys did recently, and it's one they did for a place that we actually frequent. Ladies and gentlemen, if you like coffee check out the Nautial Bean. The guys tackled this web design project having already done some work for Brett, and the folks down at Nautical Bean.

Head on over to the site, check it out, and then go get some coffee. The Nautical Bean has great hours, great coffee, and some great food.

Just letting everyone know, Seth and I have been listening to a lot of Bob Dylan lately. We also checked out the latest Weezer album, and Collectively, we weren't impressed. So with that, hopefully I'll be back here blogging about something amazing tomorrow.

Mac and Cheese. Hold the Cheese.
The office is a little colder when Jeremy is away, but he is staying quite busy down south. This week has been going pretty smoothly. I think my brain is starting to connect the dots on some of the things I've been learning. The new key is doing my tasks in a reasonable amount of time. During our lunch break today we went to our friends Kim and Jeff's house. "Chef Newsom" made us a delicious vegan mac and cheese (it had no cheese!), and it was amazing!
So, on to business. Today I'm going to tell you a little bit about the site that we did for Sevnone. Sevnone is a camp, a movement, a place where purpose is found, uniqueness is celebrated, and the passion for life explodes. We finished up their site a few months ago, and really had a great time working on it. All the guys their are super sweet.

Remember that all proceeds from their merchandise helps send kids to Sevnone camps.

You can learn everything you want to know about Sevnone at their website. Check it out.
We at the 805 Collective hope that the rest of your thursday is safe and that you listen to some good tunes.

  Alright. Here's the deal.
As I'm sure you all know, the last year has seen no real updates on our blog. So there are so many projects that we've finished and want to share with you. It's my personal goal to update the blog 5 times a week to catch everybody up on the life of 805Collective. So, let's start with a web page that was finished around a year ago. Bryan McLain's videographer site.

Bryan's website has full screen video backgrounds that resize depending on the size of your browser. This idea really translated well with Bryan's unique way of capturing special moments.

This should be the beginning of updates galore so check back often.

  Busy Little Bees
So, Cornerstone was hot, dirty, and some would say a lot of fun. But it's nice to be back in the beautiful central coast of California. While the guys were tackling adventures in cornfields, California passed a law stating you can't drive and talk on your hand held cell phone at the same time. Upon returning home and learning of this new law, Jeremy immediately fled the country in protest. Some believe he could be headed toward Ecuador, others say he's going to Brazil. All we know is he's still taking care of business and knocking out jobs. While Jeremy is representing 805Collective worldwide, Seth has been spotted staring intensely at his screen and coming up with brilliant new ideas at a starbucks in Atascadero, and down in SLO at the office. It's been an interesting week for him as he's had some appliance trouble at home, yet just 10 days ago, he was on the mainstage at cornerstone singing in front of 25,000 people. Highs and lows. Right now it's 3:11 a.m. and I'm (Matthew the intern) wide awake. I'm learning as much as I can from the guys, and I'm seeing that I really need to work on my communication skills. I'm unsure if I'm proud or ashamed, but the past two weeks have seen me listening to quite a bit of Michael Jackson. Speaking of Jackson's I had a nice weekened gettaway to San Diego and Newport Beach with my family, and I witnessed with my own eyes the Quinton "Rampage" Jackson fiasco. I emerged refreshed. So lets let this week unfold and see what it has in store and i promise lots of beautiful pics from the past year and updates on all things design asap. Here's a picture of Lakes performing at the gallery stage at the Cornerstone Festival.

It looks like everyone had a good time.

I'm passionate about learning. I'm passionate about life.
What to say? What to say? Let me introduce myself. My name is Matthew Covington, and i am the new intern at 805Collective. Lately I've been functioning on about 3 or 4 hours of sleep a day, so bear with my punctuation. Jeremy and Seth have been teaching me everything they know about print design and web design. I seem to be learning in really small portions, and the jury is still out on my abilitly to retain this information. So I had to bring something else to the table that would help me to stick around. Which is why I'm so fortunate, along with my beautiful wife, and her parents, to own a restaurant in Atascadero called McGees.

This last tuesday, the Collective worked in the north county, and ate lunch at my place. It worked out very nicely. The guys have finished so many projects since the last updates, and will be tackling many more over the coming weeks and months. This summer is shaping up to be pretty busy. In the immediate future, 805Collective will be hitting the road as Seth's band, Lakes, begins a two week tour (check their site for tour dates). Jeremy will be meeting up with us just outside of Chicago, at the cornerstone music festival. Back at the office, we've been listening to quite a bit of the new albums from Augustana and Coldplay. I'll be putting up links and pics of a lot of the work that's been getting done since the updates from a while ago. So enjoy your day and relax.

If i remember correctly, Seth had the smoked salmon salad, with a small side of pesto pasta.

Jeremy had a Tuscan Cheese Steak (thinly sliced tri-tip, salsa fresca, grilled onions, and feta) with fries, and a side spinach, black bean and avocado salad.

While I had the Tuscan Cheese Steak with goat cheese, and a side of fries.

Well, it's now 5:15 a.m. and i should be finishing up my paper work at my other job. Thanks for reading, and know that there is much much more to come. Also, if you're feeling down, look up tom cruise on the today show on you tube. I know it's old, but it's just one of those things that will brighten your day without a doubt. Peace.

  first blog +

hello.

this is our first blog.
we have been working on some fun stuff and having magical moments from day to day here at 805 Collective. these kinds of things are hard to capture on a portfolio site, so we thought it would be a good idea to start a blog. that way we can share these magical moments all the time with the rest of the world. we at 805 Collective hope you are touched by these screen shots of our current projects.

All Weather Monkeys
There is a new Tv Show coming out on Abc today called Cavemen. you might recognize these guys from some commercials you've seen, and now they have their own Tv show. 805 collective was honored to be able to design some of the shirts for the wardrobe for the show! heres a shot from the preview with one of our shirts.

also we are designing some shirts for the ladies of the daytime talk show on abc "The View". The Nick Hedge From cavemen was recently on the show and had a lot of chemistry with the beautiful ladies so he wanted to give them a gift. We will for sure post some pictures when we are done. For now check out the episode on The View's website.

Gregory Hinde
Gregory is an amazing guy. he helped develop the mellotron. which is one our favorite instruments. he also makes music for cartoons. here are some shots of where we are at.

Gregory does alot of work for Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. one of our favorite cartoon episodes hes worked on is this one for The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy with an appearance by Fred Flintstone. Fred Flintstone is an 805 Collective favorite.

Paper Sky

Paper Sky is a amazing store meeting all your needs having to do with paper. cards, wrapping paper, artwork, invitations, packaging, and all types of fun things. we are making them a website right now and its a paper world.
